Responsibilities of Management/Enforcement/Dissemination of EEO Policies
Ken Fearnow, General Manager of Stillwater Radio, has overall responsibility of hiring and of enforcing all EEO policies and to continually review our employment unit’s performance and adherence to the Commission’s EEO rules. As of January 4, 2013 Ken Fearnow is no longer employed by this licensee and Barbara Dickenson will be in charge of EEO in the interim period.
All current employees have been advised of our stations’ EEO policies and have received a written copy of same. Future employees will be advised of our EEO policies during the interview process. Employees have been encouraged to advise their immediate supervisor of any complaints they may have of prejudice or discrimination in the workplace.

SUPPLEMENTAL OUTREACH INITIATIVES

1st Initiative Participated in “HIRE OSU GRADS” Job Fair held February 2, 2012, 12:30pm-4:30pm at the Gallagher-Iba Arena on the Campus of Oklahoma State University, located in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Stillwater Radio personnel was on hand to discuss the broadcast industry and answer any questions by attendees.
2nd Initiative Participated in an OAB Career Job Fair, March 8, 2012 at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The event was held from 10:30am – 12:00 noon. An average of 150 broadcasting students from various Oklahoma College and Universities were in attendance at this job fair. Ken Fearnow, General Manager for Stillwater Radio was on hand to provide information about the broadcasting industry and answered several questions regarding broadcast opportunities with this employment unit.
3rd Initiative Hosted “Women’s Night Out” Thursday, March 15, 2012 with other area businesses. Provided Information about the broadcast industry for interested participants and station personnel were on-hand throughout this event to answer questions.
4th Initiative Stillwater Radio hosted a Career Expo for the public on April 26, 2012 held at the Holiday Inn –University West 4pm-7pm. Stillwater Radio personnel were on hand to answer questions and discuss the Broadcast Industry.
5th Initiative Hosted “Men’s Expo” Thursday, June 16, 2012 at the Payne County Expo Center and Arena with various business within our region with station personnel providing indepth information regarding the broadcast industry, opportunities to all interested participants.
6th Initiative Participated in an OSU Career Fair held August 23, 2012 and co-sponsored a fair with OSU on September 20, 2012. Several vendors on hand and approximately 200 attendees. Station personnel on hand to discuss the broadcast industry.
Activities to fulfill: In continuing with our supplemental outreach initiative, we are scheduled to participate February 14, 2013; 12:30-4:30pm “Hire OSU Grads Job Fair” at the Gallagher-Iba Arena on the Campus of Oklahoma State University, located in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Stillwater Broadcasting will also be working with Oklahoma State University broadcast and journalism departments, offering internships for the Summer 2013 and Fall 2013 Semesters.
Stillwater Radio will be hosting “Women’s Night Out” on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Payne County Expo Center with various businesses in our region and will provide information regarding the broadcast industry to interested participants.
Stillwater Radio is planning to attend the OAB Job Fair, not yet scheduled, at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Approximately 125 to 150 broadcasting students from various Oklahoma Colleges and Universities will be in attendance at this job fair. Our General Manager of Stillwater Radio will be on hand to provide information about the broadcasting industry and answer any questions regarding any broadcast opportunities with this employment unit.
